Mary Hughes was the second daughter of George Hughes and Mary Ellen Gagan Hughes. Born 20 May 1916,
On April 14, 1941. she was joined in Holy Matrimony to her beloved husband H. Edward Stone who preceded her in death in 1974.
taught American History and English at the Port Chester High School for over 30 years. Teaching brought her great joy and she was awarded Teacher of the Year on several occasions.
