John Nolan, 1861-1869

John Nolan is the young boy who fell into the ice. The story mentions a brother (perhaps a twin, Stephen) but there is no record of him. John was baptized at Immaculate Conception Church in September of 1861.

A March 1869 newspaper article describes him falling through the ice on Ben Holliday’s farm in White Plains (Ophir Farm) and drowning.

A Bodies in Transit report lists his body being sent to Calvary Cemetery - authorized by his father, John Nolan.
